Mighty Lad was an alien from an unknown, advanced alien civilization, who came to Earth and used his advanced gagetry to fool Superboy into believing that he was a fellow Kryptonian superhero.

Unfortunately, he also had to create the very disasters that he solved to pull off the illusion. When he realized that Superboy and Krypto could not be imitated or fooled for long, he claimed to have learned his lesson and left in his space ship.
