Ma and Pa Kent Adopt Supergirl! is a comic book story appearing in Action Comics #275.
Summary
At the Fortress of Solitude, Supergirl sees Superman's display of his childhood with his foster parents, Ma and Pa Kent. She becomes tearful, not having parents of her own. Superman reassures her that she'll soon be allowed foster parents, but she isn't so sure.
Back at Midvale Orphanage, she goes to sleep and has an amazing dream. In the dream, she's the daughter of Jor-El and Lara, and arrives on Earth in Smallville, to be adopted by the Kents and named Linda Kent. She soon develops a crush on Bob Benson, but Bob ends up going out with Lana Lang and Supergirl is stuck with Lex Luthor, the boy next door. Bob is uninterested in Linda, but loves Supergirl.
Another spaceship arrives from Krypton, containing Squawky, the super-parrot. Meanwhile, Luthor helps her by telling Bob Benson to go out with her. Bob is uninterested, so Lex discovers that she's Supergirl by following the Super-Parrot back to her home. He then proves it to Bob, who immediately proposes marriage. Realizing that he has uncovered her secret, Linda rejects his marriage proposal.
She then wakes from the dream, lamenting on all the differences between the dream and reality.
