Two years previously, three neo-Nazis came out of suspended animation in Metropolis. In the present, they stand poised to take over Metropolis and get rid of Superman. This group of neo-Nazis are in a (fictional) neo-Nazi organization called the NSBA (National Society for a Better America) and they attempt to establish an autocratic state closely similar to the Western Imperium in the United States using nuclear terrorism by planting hidden nuclear weapons caches below Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City and threatening to detonate them unless their demands are met. They appear on television to broadcast their demands. They actually assert control over the city of Metropolis for a time. They have numerous red vans with the lettering NSBA on them in white with loudspeakers on top that broadcast Neo-Nazi propaganda. Superman finds the nuclear weapons with his X-ray vision and disposes of them in outer space and then captures the Neo-Nazis. |
